Worship Services at Temple Sinai
Shabbat, High Holy Day, and Festival services.

Friday Evenings
Shabbat Services at 7:30 PM

Saturday Mornings

Sharing Shabbat
Every Saturday at 8:30 AM
Sharing Shabbat offers a cozy, warm and informal (no need to dress up) participatory prayer service featuring a Torah reading, a brief Torah study, and a balance of traditional Hebrew prayers and English readings, using Mishkan T’filah, the new Reform prayer book. Some of those attending participate actively in the service and Torah discussion, while others simply follow along. Conducted in the round, the service’s relaxed feel offers attendees an opportunity to get to know the clergy and other temple congregants. This service gives our children a great opportunity to apply what they are learning at Temple Sinai Religious School.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Service
Most Saturdays at 10:30 AM
This service offers the congregation the touching opportunity to witness our 7th/8th grade students become Bar/Bat Mitzvah and to welcome them as full members of the congregation.

High Holy Day Services

Each year Temple Sinai schedules a full complement of High Holy Day Services. These services include early and late Erev services on both Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur, early and late morning services and a Tashlikh service on Rosh HaShanah, and early and late morning services, afternoon service, Yizkor service and Neilah services on Yom Kippur. In addition there are youth programs and a service for young children on both Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur and a congregational Break-the-Fast on Yom Kippur.

Festival Services

Temple Sinai offers intergenerational evening services for the festivals of Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Chanukkah, Purim and Shavuot. Temple Sinai commemorates "The Night of Broken Glass" (Kristallnacht) and Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom haShoah), and celebrates Israeli Independence Day (Yom haAtzmaut). Yizkor services are held on Sukkot, Passover and Shavuot. Join with other members of our Temple family in the commemoration of the Jewish sacred calendar.

Summer Services

During July and August, Friday evening services are offered each week, beginning at 8:00 pm. Led by a variety of temple congregants, these services offer a participatory prayer experience in a warm and informal setting. Several different types of worship experience are offered in the course of the summer.
